Welcome Incoming Seniors
You are in your final year of high school so it is the home stretch before you go into another important chapter of your life. This is the most exciting and overwhelming year that you might go through. I would like to start by saying to please not slack with your college applications. There is a long process for this and it was my mistake to cramp it all at once which caused me fear of not getting into any school. There will be many applications to fill out, many scholarships to apply for, and teachers to go to for more information about the process. Your teachers are all there for you they will dedicate themselves to helping you out with any essay or recommendation.
There will be many tests and homework assignments. AP tests will come once again and so will the SAT but you have gathered so much knowledge and it will be the time to show what you have learned these past three years of high school. This does not mean you should stress the whole year. You should also enjoy what this year will bring. Be more involved with the school because you will wish that you did when you graduate. It will be ten months away but it will be here before you know it. Enjoy the time you spend with your friends and classmates before departing ways. Join school activities and get to know your teachers. The fun will begin at the end of the year when there are many events planned for you. If you want something, go out and get it before it is out of reach. Do not worry about anyone who won’t help you to do better in your academics. You are so close to becoming an adult and now is the time to start planning out what you will do with your life.
You will all do just fine and you guys will all walk that stage at the end of the year. You will find yourself along the way but be ready for acceptances, rejections, and loads of work. I would relive high school if I was able to. Make the most out of this year and I wish you all the best of luck.
