Green tea is heated immediately after being picked, preventing any oxidization of the leaves. The tea is fired in a wok in China or an oven in Japan. To prevent destroying the subtle of the green tea it should be poured into boiling water. This results in very delicate tea, with a wide range of leaf styles depending on varying production techniques and traditions. Green tea has a short life span and it is enjoyed close to harvest, at its peak freshness. People often consume green tea for its health benefits, but people also become lasting fans of the amazing taste.
